UNITHAI SHIPYARD’s been recognised for excellence in Safety Standards by Singapore rig builder
Unithai Shipyard and Engineering Limited, Thailand’s premier shipyard, has received an appreciation award from PPL Shipyard Pte Ltd of Singapore for its excellence in ensuring the safety of all employees.
The certificate awarded recognises the 6,000,000 accident-free man-hours recorded with no lost time by Unithai, while it was fulfilling contracts awarded by PPL for the construction of rig structures between October 2007 and April 2009.

Hong Kong PolyU Names Maritime Library and Research & Development Centre after Tan Sri Frank Tsao Wen-King
Hong Kong , 4 May 2009 - The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has named its Maritime Library and Research & Development Centre (the Centre) after Tan Sri Frank Tsao Wen-King, Founder and Senior Chairman of the IMC Group, in appreciation of his HK$10 million donation from IMC Hong Kong International Shipping and Transport Logistics Foundation Limited - for the Centre's further advancement in education, training and research.

Aurora Tankers MD Appointment in IMC Corp
IMC Corp is pleased to announce the promotion of Captain Tan Chai Hee to Managing Director, Aurora Tankers Management Pte Ltd, with effect from 19 September 2008. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the wet bulk/chemical shipping business. Prior to this, he held the position of Senior Director (Commercial) where he was in charge of all commercial marketing and operations at Aurora Tankers.

Singapore Confers Highest National Honour on Maritime Luminary Tan Sri Frank Tsao Wen-King
Tan Sri Frank Tsao Wen-King, Founder and Senior Chairman of the IMC Group, received Singapore’s Honorary Citizen Award 2007 from President S R Nathan at The Istana today. Tan Sri Tsao is the first maritime luminary to receive this highest form of recognition given by the Singapore Government for outstanding contributions of foreigners to the country’s growth and development.

Tan Sri Frank Tsao Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
IMC Group Senior Chairman, Tan Sri Frank Tsao (Mr Tsao), received the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his significant and lasting contributions to the region’s shipping and maritime industry, in the inaugural Seatrade Asia Awards held at Shangri-La Singapore on 13 May 2008.
This Singapore debut follows the internationally renowned Seatrade Awards, judged by a panel of industry leaders, where it has been held in London for the past 20 years and more recently in Dubai over the past four years.
